Vasarely Long Lumbar Handwoven Pillow

 

Vasarely lumbar pillows add a dramatic optical effect like those seen in geometric works made famous by modern artist Victor Vasarely. Triangular shapes patterned in two colors on an ivory field enliven the design to seemingly jump off the woven surface.

Our handwoven pillow collection is created by artisans who use traditional weaving techniques to complete these one-of-a-kind designs.

Please note, that all products are handmade, which can mean there can be slight variations in weave, size, and color.

General Care Tips

• Wash new items before first use for a better experience.
• Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh detergents.
• Treat stains promptly by blotting, not rubbing.
• For tough stains, use mild stain remover or water/baking soda mix. Test it on a small spot first.

• Shake towels before drying to fluff them.
• Don’t wash with items that have zippers or buttons to avoid damage.
• Cut snagged loops instead of pulling them to prevent further damage.

How to Care for Your Turkish Towels, Throws and Blankets, Robes and Kimonos 

• Machine wash warm, gentle cycle, with mild liquid detergent.
• Wash similar colors together.
• New large throws: Wash separately for the first 2-3 washes to manage potential shedding.

Drying and Ironing

• Tumble dry on low heat to prevent shrinkage and maintain softness.
• Iron on low setting if necessary. Avoid high heat as it can weaken the fibers.

Turkish Towels vs. Terry Towels

• Turkish towels: Wash weekly or bi-weekly. Antibacterial and quick-drying.
• Terry towels: Wash every 3-4 uses.
• Both: Allow to dry completely between uses.

• Wash in warm water with mild, liquid detergent. No bleach.
• Dry on low heat. 

Linen and Cotton-Linen Blends

• Machine wash cold/warm, gentle cycle.
• Tumble dry low. Remove promptly to avoid wrinkles.

Wool and Wool-Cotton Blends

• Hand wash in cool water with gentle wool detergent.
• Lay flat to dry. Reshape while damp to maintain the original shape and size.
